“Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”

As night falls and the world grows still, I come before You — the God who sees me, who never sleeps nor slumbers. You know every burden I carry, every thought that stirs in the quiet of this hour. And yet, You remain constant — watching, caring, moving on behalf of those who wait for You.
You are the same God who has worked wonders since ancient times, who acts in ways no eye has seen and no ear has heard. Even when I cannot trace Your hand, I trust Your heart. I believe that in the silence of this night, You are working things together for my good.
Jehovah El Roi, thank You for seeing me — not just my needs, but my soul. Thank You for being near to the weary, the anxious, the waiting. Cover my mind with peace tonight. Let my body find true rest, and let my spirit be refreshed by the assurance that You are in control.
Wrap this night in Your presence, O Lord. Guard my dreams. Speak to me in the stillness. And as I sleep, prepare the way for the good things You are bringing — things beyond what I can ask or imagine.
In the powerful name of Jesus, I lay this day to rest. Amen.
