Streams of Joy 15th May 2025 Devotional (Thursday) Message

MEMORY VERSE
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8: 36)
SCRIPTURE READING: Judges 16: 1-31
FOCUS VERSE:
“And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.” (Judges 16: 5)
When the lords of the Philistines came to Delilah, one of their goals was to get to the root of Samson’s strength so that they could bind him. They wanted a chance to bind Samson. They sought a chance to overpower Samson and tie him up in such a way that he won’t be able to escape. They wanted to confine Samson to a level where he would be unable to find expression for his destiny mandate. They wanted to tie Samson down.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not dwell in bondage. Your destiny will not be tied. Your hands will not be tied. Your movement will not be tied. Your ministry will not be tied. Your finances will not be tied. Your greatness will not be tied. Your health will not be tied. You will not live under the bondage of the enemy. You will not live under the chains of the enemy. You will not be bound. Your spirit will not be bound.
The Spirit of the Lord had begun to move Samson between Zorah and Eshtaol. The hand of the Lord was already on him to execute judgement on the Philistines, and the lords of the Philistines came up with a plan on how Samson could end up in chains. They wanted to stop him from doing all that God put in him to do. I scatter every plot of the enemy to mitigate your greatness and stop you from doing all that God wants you to do.
If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, then you have been set free and you are free indeed. You cannot be bound by the chains of the enemy. You cannot be confined by the wishes of the enemy. You cannot be under the spell of the enemy. You cannot be limited by the whims of the enemy. You cannot be reduced to any bondage that the enemy designed for you. If there be any bondage you are in, I decree, your soul has escaped.
The days of bondage are over; the days of being in the chains of the enemy, are over. No longer will it be said that the enemy put you in chains and in bondage.
DECLARATION:
I will guard my consecration jealously; I will not break the hedge of God around me, in Jesus’ name!
