Joel Osteen Daily Devotional 21 April 2025 Monday TOPIC: Go to Where God Is
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’” – Mark 16:6–7, NIV

TODAY’S WORD
Mary Magdalene and two other women had gone to the tomb that Sunday morning to put perfume on Jesus’ body. They had heard Jesus say, “It is finished.” They had watched Jesus breathe His last breath. His lungs did not move again. He had no pulse. He was taken down from the cross and lain in a tomb. All the circumstances said it was over. But an angel met them at the tomb and said, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? Jesus is not here. He has risen!” The angel was saying, “Why are you going to where God was? You need to go to where God is.”
What looked like an ending was only the beginning of something far greater. When doors close, people walk away, or a dream doesn’t work out, don’t go by what it looks like. Don’t get stuck where God was; go to where God is. He’s doing a new thing you can’t see yet. That had to end, that door had to close, so you could go to the next level of victory, abundance, and favor.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that You are always going ahead in my life, lining up the next level, and You’re not in the past. Thank You that I don’t have to be stuck at the closed door or waiting for the person who walked away. I believe that what looks like an ending is only a fresh new start. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
