Daily Guide 10th April 2025 Devotional – OUTLINE
The feast of Passover was approaching and as is customary, the disciples of Jesus approached Him with a question of where to arrange for their celebration of the feast (Matthew 26:17). Notice the obedience of the disciples to His response in Matthew 26:18 (Matthew 26:19, cf. Luke 22:7-13). They did not know who and what they were going to face but they knew and trusted Christ enough to promptly obey His words.
The parallel passage in Luke and Mark shows clearly that our Lord Jesus is all-knowing. With Him, there is no secret. Nothing can be hidden from Him (Matthew 26:21-25 compare Psalms 139:1-12). The very thoughts of your heart are bare before Him.
Consider the response of Judas to Jesus’ pronouncement of woe on His betrayer (Matthew 26:21-25, cf. John 13:21-30). What does this say about his understanding of who Jesus is and hardness of heart?
The Lord’s Supper is instituted from Matthew 26:26-28 thus establishing the new covenant of forgiveness and salvation. Jesus was symbolically offering Himself as the Passover Lamb. Have you come under the protection of His shed blood (Matthew 26:28)?

Oh Lord, help me to know that your wisdom and ways are past finding out.
