Streams of Joy 14th March 2025 Devotional (Friday) Message
TOPIC: Opposing Voices
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Luke 1
“And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.” (Luke 1: 20)
When Zachariah heard the word of the Lord about the son that God was about to give him, he reminded the Angel that he was old and his wife stricken in years. He spoke words that were contrary to what God was about to do. He spoke words that undermined his prophecy. Notice that in our Focal Scripture, Angel Gabriel told Zachariah that he would be dumb until the word of the Lord is fulfilled. The voice that was opposing what God was about to do for Zachariah was shut up.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every voice speaking against the fulfillment of your prophecy, I command it to shut up. I command every voice of enchantment against you, to shut up. I command every voice of negativity against your new season to shut up. I command every voice speaking against your expectations, to shut up. I command every voice that wants to lock the doors of your results, to shut up. I command voices of enchantment and divination to shut up.
Zachariah was speaking against what God was saying, and the Angel of the Lord had to shut him up. Hear me as I hear the Lord: any man that has chosen to speak against what God has said concerning you this year, let the whirlwind of the Lord sweep them away. Let the Lord arise and silence every voice that says your miracle will not happen. Let the Lord arise and silence every voice that says you will remain on the same level this year.
The person who needed to be silenced by the Angel of the Lord, was Zachariah himself who should be the recipient. How could the recipient of a miracle be the one to speak against it? May it never be said that you used your own mouth to truncate what the Lord was bringing your way. May it never be said that you were the one whose words caused a miracle that was on the way, to turn back. May your words not work against you.
Speak in alignment with what God is saying about you; don’t use your words to speak against your prophecy. Speak right; speak the word of the Lord.
Numbers 23: 23 says: “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”
DECLARATION: Every voice against my prophecy, shut up by fire, in Jesus’ name!
