Streams of Joy 2nd March 2025 Devotional (Sunday) Message
TOPIC: Keep Standing
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Luke 1
“And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,” (Luke 1: 8)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Zachariah was executing the duties of the priest’s office. It was while he executed his duties that he encountered the Angel of the Lord. Zachariah did not have a child, but he still had the commitment to execute the priest’s office. He had an issue that could make some people to doubt God’s faithfulness, but he opted to keep serving God. What he was going through did not stop his service to God.
Friend, no matter what you are going through, do not let it stop you from serving God. Do not allow your challenges to stop you from serving God. Do not allow your misfortunes to stop you from serving God. Do not allow the prayers that have not been answered to stop you from serving God. Do not allow the unfulfilled expectations to stop your commitment and devotion to God. Do not allow circumstances to stop your devotion.
Some people in Zachariah’s shoes would have used the issue of not having children as an excuse to cut short their commitment to God, but that was not the road taken by Zachariah. Some people would have chosen not to turn up because God was yet to show up for them. Even if you have bad experiences, never let them get in the way of your devotion. Even if God is yet to show up for you, keep turning up in prayers and devotion to Him.
El Roi does not see to ignore; He sees to show up with mind blowing wonders. El Roi does not see to leave you the same; He sees to turn your life around for good. El Roi sees to make you a better person. El Roi sees to establish you on all sides. El Roi sees to make you a spectacle of His glory. El Roi sees to ensure that everyone around will agree that you didn’t serve God in vain. El Roi knows the pain you bear while serving Him.
If you dare to stay on the grind, and keep serving God, in due time, your results shall come forth for all to see.
Isaiah 50: 10 says: “Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.”
DECLARATION: Nothing will stop my devotion to God, in Jesus’ name!
