Daily Devotional For Today 17th February 2025 TOPIC: Run
Today’s Scripture:
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” — Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)
Today’s Devotional Message:
Life is often compared to a race, not a sprint, but a long-distance journey requiring endurance, discipline, and faith. Hebrews 12:1 reminds us that we are not running this race alone. We have the examples of faithful believers who have gone before us, cheering us on.
To run effectively, we must let go of anything that weighs us down—sins, distractions, doubts, and fears. Just as a runner sheds unnecessary weight to move freely, we must cast aside burdens that keep us from fully following Christ. God has set a path before us, uniquely designed for each of us, and He calls us to run with perseverance.
Perhaps you feel weary today, struggling under the weight of past mistakes or life’s challenges. Be encouraged—God gives strength to those who trust in Him. He is your source of endurance. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will sustain you.

Help me to keep my eyes on Jesus and to trust You even when the path is difficult. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I may walk in perseverance and obedience. Thank You for surrounding me with encouragement and for guiding me each step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
