Daily Devotional For Today 5th February 2025, Wednesday Message by Chibuzor Divine.
TOPIC: Have Dominion
FOCUS SCRIPTURE: Genesis 1:26-28
Dominion is God’s original mandate for humanity. In Genesis 1:26-28, God gave man authority over creation. To walk in dominion means to rule, reign, and exercise authority under God’s will. Below, we explore the biblical foundation of dominion and how to walk in it daily.
Today, we read how to have Dominion over all things around us;
1. Understanding Dominion in the Bible
Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV)
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
God created man in His image to rule over the earth, not to be dominated by circumstances, fear, or sin. Dominion is a divine inheritance.
2. How to Walk in Dominion
A. Walk in Righteousness and Obedience
Romans 5:17 (KJV)
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”
Righteousness through Christ restores dominion. Sin brought bondage, but through Jesus, we are restored to reign as kings and priests (Revelation 5:10).
B. Speak with Authority
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Your words shape your dominion. Speak God’s promises over your life, rebuke negativity, and declare His will in faith.
C. Exercise Faith and Boldness
Luke 10:19 (KJV)
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Faith enables us to exercise dominion over sickness, demonic forces, and oppression. Walk in boldness, knowing Christ has given you authority.
D. Stay Filled with the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to walk in supernatural dominion. Through Him, we operate in wisdom, discernment, and power.
E. Be a Person of Prayer and Worship
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Prayer aligns us with God’s will, while worship brings His presence, where dominion is enforced.
3. Walking in Dominion Over All Things
- Dominion Over Sin – Through Christ, we have victory over sin (Romans 6:14).
- Dominion Over Fear – God has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
- Dominion Over Sickness – Healing is our portion (Isaiah 53:5).
- Dominion Over Finances – God gives us power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).
- Dominion Over the Enemy – We are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Beloved, God designed us to rule and reign in life through Christ. By walking in faith, speaking His Word, staying in prayer, and yielding to the Holy Spirit, we enforce dominion over all things.
TODAY’S DECLARATION:
“I have dominion through Christ. I reign in life, walk in victory, and fulfill my God-given purpose!”
