Streams of Joy 24th January 2025 Daily Devotional (Friday) Message
TOPIC: Not A Spectator
SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Kings 9
“And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:” (2 Kings 9: 1)
In 1 Kings 19 vs. 15-16, God has instructed Elijah to anoint Hazael as King of Syria, Elisha as prophet, and Jehu as King of Israel. Elijah anointed Elisha as Prophet, but failed to anoint Jehu as king of Israel. Some people were listed for elevation, one person was elevated, but others had their own elevation stalled. One person entered into his prophecy; the others were kept waiting. One was elevated; others were excluded.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2025, wherever it seems that you have been left behind, God is reopening your chapters. Wherever you have been excluded from taking your portion, by the word of the Lord, you are getting back there to take your portion. Wherever you have been stagnated, you are entering into your rest. Wherever you have become a mere spectator, you will become a partaker of your own portion.
In 2025, you will not be a spectator. As others rise, you too will rise. As others enter into their next level, you too will enter. As others testify of the mighty deeds of El Roi, you will not be left out. As others speak about the wonders of God in their lives, you too will speak of the wonders of God in your own life. As others witness a fulfillment of the word of the Lord concerning them, you too will witness a fulfillment of the word of the Lord.
You have not been forgotten. Your matter will be revisited by God. You have not been abandoned. The word of the Lord concerning you has not been cancelled. The word that God spoke concerning you has not been invalidated by the delays to the fulfillment of the word. The chapters of your rising may have been delayed but have not been closed. With your eyes, you will see your own portion, you will step in and you will possess it.
Welcome to that season where you will step into the portion that heaven already ordained for you. Welcome to your season of becoming a partaker instead of a spectator.
Colossians 1: 12 says: “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”
TODAY’S DECLARATION: In 2025, I won’t be a spectator, in Jesus’ name!
