TODAY’S WORD
The prophet Isaiah says, “When you go through the flood, you will not drown. When you go through the fire, you won’t be burned.” David says that when you go through the famine, you will have more than enough. Notice the three F’s—through the flood, the fire, the famine.
The good news is that God has one more F; it’s favor. When you’re in the flood, don’t complain. Get ready for favor to lift you above it. When you’re in the fire, get ready for God to make a way where you don’t see a way. When you’re in the famine, favor is what’s going to help you overcome the challenges. You may have been through the flood, fire, and famine.
God will not mismanage your life. He will not allow things to happen that won’t somehow move you toward your destiny. If you could see where God is going to take you, if you could see the favor, the influence, the abundance, the health, or the friends, you wouldn’t complain about what you’re going through. Get ready for the favor that is coming.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me through the fire, flood, and famine. Even when life doesn’t make sense, I choose to trust in You and believe that You are working all things for my good. Help me to grow through it, to increase my faith, to let my character come up higher. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
