DAILY PRAYER:Â My Father, bless me this morning. Lay Your hand on my head as I bow before You, and give me a Father’s blessing. Then I can go out into the great world without fear. Keep me from evil all the day. Let me not wander from Your side. Hold me with Your hand, leading me and guarding me from falling. You are able to keep me from stumbling, and to present me faultless in glory. I cast my weakness upon You.
Bless me in whatever experiences the day may bring to me. May this be to me a day of growth in grace. May I be enabled to do my work well. Help me in my household duties and cares. Let me not be fretted or vexed with worries. Help me to do simply my duty, and then leave all of life’s tangles in Your hands. Help me also in my business and work. May I have grace to be honest in all my dealings with others, truthful in all my life and conversation, and consistent in my conduct and behavior — so that all who see me, shall see Jesus in me.
I desire to make this day one of loving ministry in Your name, to others. Fill me with Your Spirit, so that wherever I go, my faces may shine with the brightness of divine love. Help me to be as Jesus to those we meet. Fill me with Your love, Your peace, Your grace, Your compassion — so that Your life really shall be revealed in me. May my wayside ministry be one of blessing. Enable me by simple kindnesses, by gentleness, and grace of manner, and by words of encouragement and comfort — to be a blessing to everyone I meet today.
I remember my friends, and ask You to bless them all. Receive me now into your care, use me, bless me, and keep me, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
