Today’s Message
Recently, I had to drop my car off for service. Normally I get a ride back home or arrange a loan car, but this time I decided to take public transportation. I discovered a bus route near the service facility that would take me home. Despite having driven down that road for decades, I could not remember ever seeing a bus stop. After dropping off my car, I walked down the road, somewhat skeptical about finding it. But to my surprise it was actually there, and the bus arrived on time and took me home.
On the ride, I reflected on how many times I had driven past that bus stop without noticing it. I had missed it because I was not looking for it. I wondered, How often do I miss what God has done for me because I am not looking for it? As a father, I know how it delights me when my children acknowledge something I have done on their behalf. Surely my heavenly Father is no different! I resolved to be more observant and consistent in praise to my heavenly Father. And I started with praising God for a safe trip home.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for the blessings you have provided. Help us to make praising you a daily habit. Amen.
Thought for the Day
For what will I praise God today?
Prayer Focus
