Love is one word that has been misunderstood by many in different ways. The world has reduced love to mere feelings. Read v.7 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-9 and see the biblical definition and description of love. Compare that to what you think or understand love to be. ‘God is love’ (v.8) is the highest and most excellent definition of love.
It was love that brought salvation to man, He loved us even while we were yet sinners and His enemies (Romans 5:8). The knowledge of this great love should no doubt challenge us to reciprocate the same love to others, especially, our fellow believers (v.11). He pours His love into our heart (Romans 5:5) and that gives us the enablement to love each other.
Vs.15-19 identify the things we need to do to experience God’s continuous presence with us? Anyone who loves dwells in God and God in him as a result we have confidence in Him even in the day of judgment.

And so? If you have the love of God in your heart, how are you showing it to those around you?

Closing Prayer
Father, stir up your love in me so I may love the brethren as I should.
Prayer for the week
* Pray that God will visit His church again with His power • Pray for the revival of the genuine manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit in the church • Pray that His people will embrace sound doctrine in this end time
Offer a prayer of faith in line with Psalms 4:8
“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.”
