TOPIC: A Day with Joni ~ Dry Bones
He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
– Ezekiel 37:3a
The question would have never crossed my mind.

I’m a mother. I think practically. Dry, sun-bleached bones, a dismembered skeleton – they don’t reassemble and reanimate. Ezekiel even said, “The bones were very dry.” That’s enough for me. I’d have concluded, all hope is gone. You would have too.
Have you a valley of dry bones in your life? Somewhere, something – maybe even someone–where the promises of God seem impossible?
The Bible is a great encourager to me because it’s full of impossible settings where God showed up, and the miraculous happened. Drop in on Noah. Moses. Joshua. David. Daniel.
Then look back at your situation. Can these bones live? Oh, you betcha!
Lord, this is another of those times when I believe, but I need You to help my unbelief. Dry bones, difficult seasons in life, challenges I cannot imagine my way through – You’ve got this! Lord, hear my prayer. Allow me to lift these weighty matters before You, I pray. Amen.
