Joyce Meyer Devotional 10th November 2024, Sunday Message
TOPIC: A Cure for the Insecure
If you set your heart aright and stretch out your hands to [God] . . . then can you lift up your face to Him without stain [of sin, and unashamed]; yes, you shall be steadfast and secure; you shall not fear. – Job 11:13,15 (AMPC)
In Ephesians 3:17 (AMPC) the apostle Paul writes: May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. The Greek word for secure means “without anxiety.” If you are a Christian, through Jesus, you have a right to enjoy a life without anxiety. It also means to “have full command.” You can resist insecurity and not be defeated by it as you trust and rely on Jesus.

True security doesn’t depend on how much money you have, your job, the way you look, how others respond to you, or even how they treat you. Security is not based on your education, your marital status, the label inside your clothing, the car you drive, or what kind of house you live in. True security is found in trusting Christ alone and knowing that you are loved and taken care of by Him.
PRAYER OF THE DAY: Lord, help me to find true security in You. Root me deeply in Your love and help me live free from anxiety and insecurity, amen.
