The above statement appears twice in today’s passage (vs.L4,16). What did king Belshazzar hear about
Daniel, the captive from Judah? Even though a captive, Daniel’s devotion to his God could not be hidden. He became God’s ambassador in a pagan land. When the Holy Spirit controls a Christian, his influence cannot be hidden.
The king was so desperate for the interpretation of the writing that he was ready to reward handsomely anyone who could give its interpretation. If you were Daniel what would have been your
reaction to the offer? Many miracle/deliverance ministers today bargain for a consultation fee’. Daniel’s reply to the king in v.I7 shows both his courage and integrity. Does this challenge you? He took time to:
* Exalt his God, the Most High.
* Remind Belshazzar of God’s blessings and dealings with Nebuchadnezzar, his father, who was humiliated and humbled because he arrogated God’s glory to himself.
•Reprimanded the arrogant king for ignoring these things and refusing to give God, his creator and preserver, the glory due to Him.
Desecrating God’s holy temple articles. Ascribing God’s glory to man-made gods.

THANK GOD FOR:
His incomparable power available to deliver and save our youths from whatever bondage they are experiencing.
PRAY FOR:
Every yoke that is causing spiritual rising and falling among many of our Christian youths be broken in Jesus Christ’s name. Begin to set free our young people to serve the Lord in purity and sound mind.
