Rod Parsley Devotional 4th October 2024, Friday Message
TOPIC: Rosh Hashanah Ends, Sundown, Ten Days of Awe – Day 2
He said to them, “Thus it is written, and accordingly it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. – Luke 24:46-47
Yesterday marked the beginning of the season of Atonement, not quietly, but with trumpets and shouts. In Hebrew, it is called the day of noise. Rosh Hashanah is when we celebrate the coronation of the King of all creation, royalty that will rule forever.

During the Ten Days of Awe, it is a time to come before our King, to examine our lives before Him. The dirt of this clay beneath our feet, the soil of our own sin, needs to be swept away. As you are examined by the Holy Spirit, the King will show you where you have not made Him King at all. Under the glare of His beautiful holiness, our shortcomings are very apparent.
Take time today, in day two of the Ten Days of Awe, to press into God’s presence and re-examine your life and truly make Him Sovereign King.
Holy Spirit, show me my sin, that I may repent, turn to God.
