MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 3RD OCTOBER 2024 – MESSAGE
God is holy; He will not use a vessel full of unholy things. Many believers need to be emptied and thoroughly sanctified for God to use them. God cannot use them as long as they are full of dirt and all kinds of abominable things. Can you use a cup filled with something already when you want to drink water? You will empty the cup and clean it before using it, or you will simply reach out for an empty one. When God finds an empty vessel and fills it with His own content, that vessel will succeed in fulfilling divine agenda.
Beloved, do you desire that God use you greatly? Tell him to empty you of all sins that easily beset as well as all evil things that can hold you down, slow you down or disqualify you. No runner will run a race carrying a heavy bag. In Hebrews 12:12, the Bible says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
Apostle Paul and the crew on the ship threw the grain out of the ship to make it lighter as the ship was in danger of sinking in the storm (Acts 27: 38). In order to save their lives, they had to eliminate the less important things. In order to achieve the mission that God has given to us, we must eliminate the less important things in life. God cannot use a person whose heart is filled with worldly things, whose focus is nothing but becoming rich and famous, who is preoccupied with the busy tasks of the earthly things.
Just as a runner has to focus his mind on the goal line, you as a Christian should fix your eyes on Jesus. The success rate becomes less when you have divided attention. Beloved, let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness so God can fill us and use us for His purpose.
TODAY’S PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. I shall not run the race of life in vain, in the name of Jesus.
2. I refuse to serve two masters, in the name of Jesus.
3. Anointing of lust of money shall not control my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Anointing to be conscious of heaven at all times, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
5. I refuse to be preoccupied with earthly things, in the name of Jesus.
6.0 God, arise and fill my cup with Your power and with Your fire, in the name of Jesus.
7. I refuse to be an empty vessel; I shall be filled with the glory of God, in the name of Jesus.
