Using the Greeks’ altar dedicated to the Unknown God as a backdrop, Paul was able to capture and hold the attention of the men of the city of Athens. He found a way to effectively communicate the gospel.

The Apostle Paul gave the crowd at Mars’ Hill an opportunity to consider their deep-rooted beliefs. With eloquent and well-chosen words, he proclaimed Jesus Christ, the man God ordained as Savior of the world, and His resurrection to the Gentiles.
The Holy Spirit will give you the right words at the right moment to speak into the life of a person that will affect change, repentance within them. Paul saw immediate effects of his preaching through some who believed, namely Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them (Acts 17:34).
You may not see an immediate harvest as a result of obediently sharing the love of Jesus, but you will have begun the process of planting the Word in someone’s heart, and God will bring the increase of eternal life.
I will obediently share the message of Jesus today and every day.
