MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 16TH SEPTEMBER 2024 – MESSAGE:
Children are God’s beautiful creatures. They are so innocent that the Bible tells us that if we must enter the kingdom of God, we have to have the heart of a child.
However, these children, just like the memory verse implies, we have to catch them young and draw them closer to God. We must never hinder them from getting to know God. There are several ways parents can hinder their children from loving God.
The first one we should note and avoid is being a wrong example. Children often emulate what they see. They follow in the steps of who they look up to, be it their parents, guardians and siblings. More than your teachings to them, your actions around them is what they follow. Therefore, as a parent or guardian, if you are not living a righteous life, you are hindering your children from loving and living a righteous life.
Some parents, knowingly or unknowingly tell lies and demonstrate other negative traits to their children. Some of such children even grow up to do worse things like stealing and other sinful behaviours. Some ungodly parents send their teenage children to sinful partners. How will such unfaithful men or women checkmate their children from being wayward?
The second one is that some parents have turned their children to idols. They do the bidding of their children and even disobey or offend God in the process. Children are gifts from God. We are to train and raise them in the way of the Lord. We are also to discipline them when they err or wander away from the way of the Lord. Dear parent do not over-pamper your child and leave them to their bidding if they don’t serve the Lord.
They are the apple of the eyes of the Lord. They are as strong as arrows in the hands of a mighty man. Children are gifts from God and we should be so intentional about raising them. The devil is after our seeds because with them great things can happen.
Jesus loves little children. So let us ensure we love them. Be a good example to them so that they can imitate you and ensure your actions do not have a negative impact on them.
MFM DEVOTIONAL 16TH SEPTEMBER 2024 PRAYER POINTS:
𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
1. Lord, help me to become a good example to the little ones, in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord, help me not to be a hindrance to the salvation of my children, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, help my children to be taught of the Lord, in the name of Jesus.

4. I receive capacity to show my children how to love the Lord, in the name Jesus.
5. My children shall hear the Lord like Samuel, in the name Jesus.
6. My children shall not be captured by the devil and his agents, in the name of Jesus.
7. I receive the grace to be an exemplary parent, in the name of Jesus.
