TOPIC: Believe the Gospel

True repentance means you change the way you think and act. Repentance is not just saying you are sorry for something or feeling bad that you did something wrong. If I repent of vulgar language, I change my mind about vulgarity. I no longer think it is clever or funny to be vulgar. It becomes repulsive to me, and I change my behavior.
The Holy Spirit convicts us when we do something that offends our Lord. He makes us aware of the harm it does, especially to our brothers and sisters in the kingdom. We no longer live under the old way of doing things. We have been born again and are being changed day by day into the image of our King!
When God delivers you, He will never deliver you from something good to something bad. He is a God of increase, not decrease. When He delivers you, you will always take a turn for the better! This is why the Bible says that it is the goodness – not the meanness – of God that leads you to repentance.
Holy Spirit, thank you for renewing my mind each day.
