We first have a presentation of former conquests in Moses’ time. Joshua was humble enough to first recount the victories of his predecessor. We too must learn to give due praise to others who have served faithfully before us, rather than attributing all to ourselves. Having conquered the land, Moses gave the rich and fruitful country to one part of Israel.
This was beyond Jordan. Now that Israel controlled much of the territory that was to become her homeland, the entire conquest is summarized. A total of 31 kings were conquered and their lands given to the children of Israel according to their tribes. Thus, the promise that God made to Joshua in chapter 1 was kept to the letter. God was indeed with Joshua, and He gave him success. No king was able to stand before Joshua in battle.
Joshua on his part remained courageous and obedient to the directions of God. We must not expect to receive victory and our inheritance by sitting idly and with folded arms. Battles must be fought on our knees, through the study and obedience to God’s Word and hard work (Proverbs 14:23). When we decide to move, we will be surprised that our God has already gone ahead of us.

Closing Prayer
Lord, we praise and adore you for great victories given to our fathers of old. Lead us always to look to you for daily victories.
Offer a prayer of faith in line with Joel 2:32
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”

‣ Resource persons will minister under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
‣ Teachable hearts for the participants and the manifestation of the power of God to save , heal, restore, convince and revive us.
‣ Journey mercies for all the brethren as they attend the Conference; provisions for the Regions to hold the program successfully.
