OPENING PRAYER: May the meditation of my heart be acceptable unto you, O Lord as I read from your word.

The enemy may not attack you directly but may indirectly wage war on you by attacking your inheritance. The people of Israel defeated Ai, subdued and subjected the powerful Gibeonites to slavery through a treaty that was based on deception. The fearful King Adoni-Zedek of Jerusalem gathered other five kings to fight Israel’s conquered or inherited country, the Gibeonites (vs1-5).
Notice what the men of Gibeon did in v.6, and the outcome in vs.7-21. They ran to the God of Israel and He defended them.
How do you respond to difficulty or adversity? See Psalm 20:7. Read vs.8-14 again and note specific actions God took during the battle to save Gibeon. When we put our faith and trust in God, He can accomplish unimaginable exploits through us. Read 1 Corinthians 2:9 and Ephesians 3:20. Are you being called to do something greater that you think you can manage for God? Trust and obey.
Some people who attribute every occurrence to rational causes would be wondering how God used natural disasters to defend His people (vs.9-15). It is, however, not strange that the one who created all these things could use them for His purpose.

Closing Prayer
Use me, Lord, to rescue the unbelievers and those oppressed.
Offer a prayer of faith in line with Obadiah 1:17
“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

‣ More grace and anointing, strength and commitment for SU brethren and missionaries for greater and fruitful exploits.
‣ The converts of the mission outreaches will be established and grounded in God’s word.
PRAY AGAINST:
‣ Every form of distraction, lack of commitment.
