OPENING PRAYER: Dear Lord, I pray that you order my steps today through your word as I meditate on it.

Notice the change in the Psalmist’s tone in the second half of the Psalm. He is full of hope, rejoicing and celebrating as he expects salvation from God. Though in crisis, and yet to experience deliverance, he promises to continually sing praise to his sovereign Lord. Where does one find words of praise when one’s heart is heavy, full of desolation and grief? Indeed, many people will praise God after receiving His blessings and not when in trouble.
However, the Psalmist gives us the secret, our knowledge of who God is. Review all that he says about God’s person and work. What are the similarities or differences with your own walk with God? Having tasted and seen God’s marvellous and countless deeds all through the years, he charges others, especially the younger generation, to believe in the faithful God (vs.17-18).
Too often, we focus on our own needs and forget what the Lord has done. The Psalmist confidently proclaims that God will restore and give him comfort again (vs.20-21). Observe how in vs.22-24 he responds to this. He is convinced that he will triumph over his enemies. How confident are you in the Lord God?

Meditate on Philippians 4:6-7.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

* Safety and security as they travel to Okigwe today for the National Conference.
* The speakers\/all resource persons and for Success of the Conference.
* Effective nuture\/ discipleship of SUCF members to Christian maturity
* Revival of SUCF in all the campuses and academic excellence
PRAY AGAINST:
* Any form of false practice and doctrine gaining entrance into SUCF.
