BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 18:17-19
[17]And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
[18]Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
[19]For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Open Heaven For Teens 21st November 2023 MESSAGE:
Many people want to partake in the blessings of Abraham, yet they cannot make sacrifices like Abraham. If you want the blessings of Abraham, you have to behave like him. Be ready to obey God completely.
No doubt, the blessings of Abraham transcend generations after him, including everyone who accepts Jesus as his/her personal Saviour, however, the blessing is not automatic. God told Abraham to separate himself from his father’s house because they were idol worshippers, and he did. Thus, you have to separate yourself from the world if you truly want to be like Father Abraham. For instance, you cannot remain with bad friends or be badly behaved and yet expect to enjoy the blessings. You have to consecrate yourself by changing your circle of friends.
One sign of the covenant of Abraham’s blessings was circumcision. All his male children, including himself, were circumcised. Today, circumcision is beyond the male organ: it is of the heart. It means to rid one’s heart of every impure thought and be dedicated to God alone. Are you willing to pay the price?
