• Q 7: What truth is God revealing to me in this passage?
SU DAILY GUIDE FOR TODAY 23RD SEPTEMBER 2023 MESSAGE:
The Apostle Paul tells us a mystery. “Mystery, here is a truth which was once so very deeply hidden by God, but now is revealed in the Gospel of Christ.” What is this mystery? (Read vs.52-54.) When the resurrection of the dead occurs, believers who are alive will be transformed along with believers who are already dead; so that both the living and the dead will be changed into imperishable and immortal resurrection bodies. The scripture will be fulfilled as death loses its sting and power over us. Read vs.54-57 again.
The truth stated in these verses is one of the most powerful statements in the entire Bible. “One short sleep past, we wake up eternally. And death shall be no more. Death, thou shall die.” (John Donne). In the light of the truth God has revealed to us about the resurrection, what kind of thinking and behaviour should we see in the believers (v.58)? As we go through good experiences and all kinds of challenges in the Christian life, the hope of the resurrection should encourage us to press on in the faith to the very end! In fact, continuous victory and joy unlimited will be what we will experience, (see Revelation 21:3,4).

Indeed, thanks be to God who gives us this victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (v.57)!
Prayer for the week
► Pray for salvation for friends, children and relatives who have not known the Lord.
► Pray that as they read or hear the word of God that God will lead them to repentance.
► Pray against the dangerous influence of the media on our children and youths.
