OPEN PRAYER: Lord, let the light of your word shine into my life as I meditate on your word.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 1:10-25
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

In response to the insightful concerns of Chloe’s household on perceived divisions, Paul points out that Christ is the one who saves and not himself, Apollos or Peter. He addressed wrong emphasis or focus on man instead of on Christ, that which has ruined many a faith. Today, some Christians have made some personalities in the Church cultic figures and this has been breeding divisions in the body of Christ. This is often based on the oratory power of the individual Christian leader. Thank God, there is an answer to every division no matter how severe and threatening – sound message that focuses on the cross of Christ.
Read vs.20-25 again and note the reason any message that is based on the cross excludes human reasoning and personality cult. That God the Son who is perfect and sinless should become man and die on a cross like a common criminal does not make human sense. Yet, it was God’s wise plan to save mankind from sin. Christ’s apparent defeat on the cross was in fact victory (v.25). Your message and life should be focused on the crucified Christ.
PRACTICE/WORD APPLICATION
So what? The message of the cross must be shared with all. God depends on those who have tested it to do that. Write down three actions you will take this week to share the message with your colleagues. Commit this plan to the Lord in prayer.

► Pray for the church of God as they work as co-labourers in God’s vineyard.
► Pray that the word of God be preached freely as the members of the church live exemplary lives for the younger ones to emulate.

► Love and patience to relate with these children so as to disciple them effectively.
► Every children worker will be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
