TEXT: “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him… And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” – Acts 12 :5 – 7.
OFM Rhema For Living 18th May 2023 MESSAGE: Any circumstance that has not turned in your favour is not over if you can still pray. No matter what you are going through, hold on to prayer. No setback should take you to the back. A set back is only a comma not a full stop. You can still bounce back and take over if you can still pray… Peter’s situations would have ended like James the brother of John who Herod killed if the church did not take it upon themselves to pray.
Herod would have been pleasing the Jews with the lives of certain brethren in the church. But after he did that with the life of James, the church rose up in the place of prayer and provokes the supernatural.
Prayer brings the intervention of divinity for the rescue if humanity. If you can still pray, the door is not shut against you; the case is not yet over. Prayer fast forwards your deliverance.
It makes light shine in your prison; it makes gates open on their own accord; it brings you to total liberty beyond human expectation. The church was still praying, but unknown to them, Peter was already at the door knocking. If you can still pray, no matter what had been taken from you, you can get it back beyond your imagination.
Child of God, make prayer a lifestyle, with prayer, no matter what the matter is, you will matter when it matters most.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, whatever wants to quench my prayer fire, be frustrated by fire.
