TEXT: Judges 11(NKJV)
MESSAGE: Jephthah was a mighty man but also the son of a harlot-an impediment that made him to be banished from his father’s house. However, the Israelites who rejected him approached him to be their commander when the Ammonites made war against them. Jephthah made an irrational vow
God to sacrifice whatever comes out of his house upon his victorious return. God gave Jephthah victory. Sadly, his only daughter was first to welcome him upon his return and Jephthah fulfilled his vow irrespective of his emotions.
Have your rights been denied you? Allow God to fight for you. Your indecent background should not affect God’s future plan for you. God is still in the business of transforming the mess in your life into a message for His glory. You just need His Spirit and obedience to succeed in every area of your life Also, develop your skills privately like Jephthah for the occasion for its need might come up in the future.
Learn like Jephthah to pray over life endeavours with its challenges. You can make rational vows of what you will do for God if He gives you victory. Fulfil your vow for the consequences of neglect can be grievous
Do you have unfulfilled vows you made to your wife, children, friends, colleagues or church? Please go and fulfil them as soon as possible.
