SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY: Esther 6: 1 -14

QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION
• Q 1: What does the passage teach about God the Father, or God the Son or God the Holy Spirit
• Q 4: Is there any promise for me to believe or hope for?

March 23, 2023 Scripture Union Daily Guide MESSAGE

We must all grow in learning to discern when God is saying or pointing to a “Yes” in our lives. This often becomes more evident when the will, the way and the works of God come together in some circumstance of our lives. How many normal or abnormal occurrences gives an indication to you that God was at work on behalf of Mordecai? The king’s sleepless night (v.1), the discovery of an unrewarded goodness in the chronicles of the king (v.2), the incidental appearance of wicked Haman in the courts at that time (v.4), even his selfish recommendations of honour (vs.6-9), the timely appearance of the eunuchs (v.14).

What makes you sometimes to think that God is too silent in your life when everything is going wrong? Where does God seem to be silent in your life today, and how does this passage speak directly to you? How should you respond in faith? Someone said, “the fact that there is silence does not mean that there is inactivity in heaven.”

PRACTICE/WORD APPLICATION
Thought: “Mordecai is of Jewish origin; you cannot stand against him but will surely fall” (v.13).

• Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?
