TOPIC: Hearing From God

TEXT: Deuteronomy 2: 1-26(NKJV)

Daily Fountain Devotional For Tuesday, MESSAGE

Moses always inquired and heard from God at every instance of their journey to the Promised Land. In our text, the Lord told Israel to pass through Mount Seir which He gave as inheritance to their brethren, the descendants of Esau. He instructed them not to provoke them when they pass through their land. The Lord also instructed them not to disturb the Moabites as they passed through their land because He has given Ar to them for a possession.

It is very important that as we hear clearly from God before taking any step in life. It is only the Lord that knows the end from the beginning; our own perceptions are limited and we cannot see beyond our horizon. If the children of Israel had gone ahead to contend with Esau’s descendants and the Moabites, they might have encountered negative consequences which might make them confused and wonder whether God is still in their midst. Similarly, if we live our lives without first consulting God, we are bound to make mistakes.

Beloved, God has allotted unto every man a space to occupy, an endowment to use, a task and destiny to fulfil. Do you hear from God every day to identify and utilise yours for His glory?Check under God whether you have trespassed into another man’s land, gift, endowment, ministry etc and repent.

PRAYER: Help me Lord not to be presumptuous in life and ministry, in Jesus name. Amen.

DAILY FOUNTAIN QUOTE OF THE DAY: Thousands fall around you, but you will not be harmed. Psalm 91:7
