DAILY BIBLE READING: Judges 10-12
TEXT: “Therefore I saw unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; … Behold the fowls of the air: for they show not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matt. 6 :25 – 26.
Why worry? Worrying has never brought solution to any problem. Most things people worry about are things that could be handled or easily overcome in a peaceful state, but when worrying comes into play, it overblows them out of proportions exaggerating the challenges or problems as too massive to be solved within the time frame. If you recall certain events in the past when you worried over some issues trying to resolve them by all means within a time frame, yet you did not achieve anything meaningful despite all efforts.
But when you decided to relax, you received insights and ideas; you were able to remember certain things you forgot and within a flash of light, you have fixed the issues that onced made you to panic and worry unnecessarily. Worrying tampers with the concentration of the mind and blindfolds the eyes. That is why no man brings out the best in a worrying state. To accommodate worry is to invite errors, poor sense of judgment and complications in one’s health.
More so, when worrying is in place in a person, it consumes all his being which is targeted at servicing what is worried about, hence very detrimental to other activities calling for attention.
Child of God, God cannot work on that issue while you are working. Make up your mind today to cast every burden upon Jesus and hold your peace.
You will be amazed how He would handle them so cheaply for you making you radiate His glory.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, the grace to rest in you and stop worrying rest on me by fire.
