Today we read the first of the ten plagues with which God struck Egypt before Pharaoh accepted defeat. It had to do with the River Nile, which was the source of life-giving water for the country. Its annual deluge from floodwaters flowing from far away was what they worshipped as Hapi, the god of water and fertility. It was this river that God judged by turning it into blood. Look at the result in v.21.
It is not surprising that Pharaoh summoned his spiritual experts for an answer; and they had no problem demonstrating their own ability to work wonders. What should these magicians have done to relieve their people? Look at the foolish thing they did instead in v.22, and the result. This is the big problem with turning to those who use demonic powers for help. It is not that such people do not exist or that their powers are not real. However, those who trust in them end up with negative results in the end. The Lord Jesus Christ explains to us the reason why in John 10:10.

For reflection: Why do many church goers still consult witchdoctors? What can we do to help them?

â–º Needed wisdom and grace as the New Regional Chairman and team pilot the affairs of Osogbo Region
â–º Those God has been using to support and donate finances to the Region that God will continue to bless them.
â–º Spiritual and financial breakthrough for Osogbo and Oyo Areas and for more committed manpower so the work of God can be expanded
PRAY AGAINST:
â–º Sickness and poor finances among the brethren
â–º All forms of spiritual tiredness and breaking from fellowship
