DAILY BIBLE READING: GENESIS 31-33
TEXT: “And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” Luke 17 :17
Rhema For Living 11th January 2023 MESSAGE
God requires thanksgiving and gratitude from His children at all times for His acts in their lives. That was why Jesus asked the question in our anchor text: were there not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? The nine today are in the church, in various departments. They are in companies and different business organizations. They are in marriages and families, in the society and out there in the world. Are you among the nine?
Whosoever does not appreciate God for the gift of salvation is among the nine. Whoever does not appreciate Him for the gift of life but over looks it as what should be, is among the nine. Whosoever does not return to share the testimony of what God did for him but returns to be prayed for again due to another challenge is among the nine. Whosoever quantifies the act of God in his life rating it with what was done for others or with preconceived ideas, and as such does not give thanks is among the nine.
Whosoever is always complaining of what God has not done thereby downplaying what God has done, is among the nine.
Child of God, if you are in any way among the nine, ask God for mercy and cultivate the habit of always thanking God. Let God see your gratitude and be pleased with you. “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.
To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night” Ps. 92 :1 – 2.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, have mercy on me in any way I have not appreciated you Lord.
