TOPIC: A Prey Can Be Delivered
MEMORISE: But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. Isaiah 49:25
READ: Jeremiah 30:15-19
15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
18 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Open Heaven For Teens 11th January 2023 MESSAGE
A prey is an animal taken by a predator as food, but when a fellow is referred to as prey, it connotes the helplessness and inability of the fellow to resist attack. 1 Peter 5:8 says:
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”
The greatest predator of God’s children is the devil, and he is always moving about looking for the loopholes and weaknesses of believers so that he can attack them unexpectedly.
Thankfully, our memory verse has established that the Lord can deliver any of His children from the predator, provided that he/she is living a life of holiness and is walking in the ways of the Lord. Today, I charge you to stay on the Lord’s side so that you won’t ever become prey to the devil.
PRAYER POINT: Father, deliver me from the hands of the terrible so that i will not be damned in Jesus’ name.
