Today, we will look further at the excelling characteristics of wisdom. The sixth thing we need to know about wisdom is that the Scriptures are its source. The Bible, referring to Timothy, affirms this through Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy3:15, “And that from a child thou hast know the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
The seventh thing we need to know about wisdom is that it is full of spiritual fruits. All believers should covet these fruits. James 3:17 highlights them, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” These wonderful fruits distinguish the wisdom of God from earthly wisdom which is foolishness to God (1 Corinthians 3:19).
Beloved, throughout the Bible, you will find that wisdom distinguished everyone that was fortunate to possess it. It distinguished Solomon so much that the Queen of Sheba came from her kingdom to see first-hand all she had heard about Solomon, his wisdom and kingdom. The testimony of the Queen of Sheba was that what she found when she met Solomon was far greater than all she heard about him.
Our Fire Scripture, 1 Kings 4:29-34, paints it graphically, “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.”
Pray that God’s wisdom will distinguish you and add colour to your life, in Jesus’ Name.

MORNING
1. Father, fill me with the Spirit of wisdom as You did for Jesus and Solomon, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Father, by Your grace and wisdom, make me a pacesetter in life, in the Name of Jesus.
3. O God, let Your wisdom distinguish me as it did Daniel in Babylon, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. O God, let wisdom strengthen me more than mighty men in the city, in the Name of Jesus.
5. O God, arise and make me wiser than my enemies, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Father, turn the wisdom of my enemies to foolishness, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Father, let Your living Word deliver wisdom into my life, in the Name of Jesus.
