After removing all the filthiness from the Temple, it was now ready for rededication. The king ordered for sacrifices to be made according to the Levitical order (vs.22‐24). First, the priests, and then the Temple, were sanctified, the whole assembly gathered together to worship the Lord (vs.29,30, 36).
The people came to rededicate themselves to the Lord. They came with gladness of heart and rejoiced and sang praises to God. Notice the posture of the king and his people before the Lord (vs.28‐30).
We should come before the Lord in complete humility. He is an awesome God. Have you noticed the joy with which the Jews always worship their God? How does that compare with worship in your Christian assembly? Whether you use older liturgies or a newer approach to worship, it ought to flow from a heart full of praise to God who is good and great.
It should therefore be done in a manner befitting His glory. God delights in the worship of His people (John 4:23,24).

CLOSING PRAYER
• Dear Lord, please give me a heart full of joy and gladness to worship you.
PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
• Pray for the poor, the sick, widows and the orphans around you. Pray that God will supply their emotional, financial and spiritual needs. Pray for grace to reach out to the ones that you can today.

☛ Reverence for God in their lives, as God uses this competition to reach out to some of them.
PRAY AGAINST:
⚠ Pride and arrogance due to accomplishments, thereby missing out on the message of what they are learning.
⚠ Not following the rules and regulation, or any application of falsehood during the competition.
