TOPIC: No Room for Shame

BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians. 11-16

TEXT: “Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.” Ps. 119 :6.
You can shut the doors of your life to shame because in the plan of God for your life, there is no room for shame.

Shame came in from the wicked one who is envious of man and he exalted position that God gave above him.

Speaking of man, scripture says in Psalm 8 :3 – 6, when I consider thy heavens, the works of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained: What is man that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hath crowned him with glory and honour: Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:” God crowned man with glory and honour and all things under his feet. As the redeemed of the Lord, you have been restored to that place of beauty and dominion and the wicked one who was cast down from heaven to the earth is now under your feet very envious of who you are.

He therefore goes about looking for ways to put shame on the redeemed, to make them a ridicule of salvation. He looks for ways and avenues to penetrate them and his major weapon is disobedience to the commandment of God.

The first Adam fell via disobedience and the second Adam through obedience to the will of God restored man.

You can shut out the agenda of the wicked one in your life by your decision to have respect to all the commandments of God via obedience.

To obey one command because it is convenient and disobey the other is to open up yourself to shame in that aspect. God wants us to do all His command (Josh. 1 :8; Deut. 28 :1) so we can reign in total victory as He ordained for us.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, in my life from this day, no room for shame. I make up my mind to obey all your command. Help me Lord.
