You are reading Open Heaven For Teens 25 November 2022, Friday Devotional Message By Pastor E.A Adeboye And Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye. As you study today’s devotional, remember this; “Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 (NLT)

TOPIC: Help from Above (3)

READ: 2 Chronicles 20:24-29

24. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

25. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26. And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

27. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

28. And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

29. And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

MEMORISE: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 25 NOVEMBER 2022 MESSAGE

If you consider the life of Jehoshaphat in the previous chapters, you will discover that he loved and feared God. He brought the people back to God and walked in the ways of David and not his father Asa, who was wicked. 2 Chronicles 17:3-4 says:

“And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim; But sought to the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.”

Tell me why God would not readily help such a man. When you fear God and walk in His ways, He will never leave nor forsake you when you need His help. Also, when God helps, He shows Himself in such a manner that people would say is a miracle. The people did not only win the battle they didnt fight, they also had spoil in abundance (2 Chronicles 20:25 ). May God showcase Himself through your life in the mighty name of Jesus. Lastly, when you receive divine help, never forget to thank God like Jehoshaphat and the people did in verse 28. They went to the house of Lord with musical instruments.

ACTION POINT: Do you need help? Ask God today.
