OFM Rhema For Living Devotional Message
Encounters when they are personalize become experience. Anything you hate is what you are created to correct. Exodus 2 :11; “And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens… It was his daily routine and passion to check on his people. It was also his routine to take care of Jetro’s sheep. Your assignment is in your daily routine.
No wonder when he encountered God, he receive divine empowerment to go and deliver his people from bondage. Initially, he tried to use might, but it failed him and he fled. But when he had encountered God, the same place he fled from, he returned to for a divine purpose to care, this time for God’s people delivering them from bondage. Encounter births zeal, passion and uncommon for drive which determine the place you go, things you do and people you relate with.
Saul supervised the stoning of Stephen and took major role in the persecution of the early church, but God told Ananias he is a chosen vessel and I will show him how much he will suffer for my name sake. Acts 10 :15 – 16.
Saul was on his way to Damascus to defend the Jewish religion when he had an encounter with Jesus and when the Lord told Ananias to go and pray for Saul, he reminded God how much evil Saul had done to the saints at Jerusalem and his journey to Damascus to do more harm, but God told Ananias that Saul’s assignment is his daily routine, to defend the saints he once persecuted.
Moses and Paul (once Saul) never burnt out in their assignment because their encounters fuelled their passion for the work all through.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me not to burn out in my assignment by fire.
