TOPIC: Supernatural Encounter
BIBLE READING: Acts 25-28
TEXT: “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple… Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here an I; send me.” Isaiah 6 :1, 8.

If you lack encounters, you will be surprised at how stunted you will be in spiritual growth and in life generally. Encounter is where you meet God and God meets you. There is a crash and your will surrenders to God’s will, your will is lost to His will. Moses was given an assignment to deliver the Israelites from bondage, and he was looking for how not to carry out the assignment and said “… O my Lord, Send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou send” Exo. 4 :13.
But eventually, he went on that mission because men who have encounter, have their will lost in His will. Jesus said, “Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt” Matt. 26 :39.
One of the proofs of genuine encounter is uncommon reverence for God. Isaiah said, “I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
“Encounters make you see how unqualified you are before Him. Isaiah said, “Then said I, Woe is me! For I am a man of unclean lips, Isa.1 :1 & 5.
Encounter births generals. It generates uncommon zeal, passion, courage and boldness. Men who have encounter with God don’t need motivation. Our fathers of faith were not just men that served God, but they were men that had encounter with God.
Moses had the burning bush encounter. In encounter, assignments are unveiled, but the challenges that will surround your assignment will require encounters to supply the staying power.
If you therefore want to start and finish well, you need multiple encounters.
