John 9:32-41
32. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
33. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
34. They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
35. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36. He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37. And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
39. And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41. Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
Memorise
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 1 Corinthians 8:2
Open Heaven For Teens 17 November 2022 Message
One of the biggest problems facing this generation is ITK (I too know) in Nigerian parlance. With access to the internet and availability of news everywhere, everyone seems knowledgeable. Dont get me wrong, knowledge is very good; you should seek to know but you have to be careful so that it does not make you proud.
For instance, when a balloon is puffed up to a certain level, it becomes difficult to blow it up more because it is already full of air. Never get to the point where you feel you know too much and thus have no need to listen to a teacher. I have been a preacher for over 40 years but theres never a time I dont pick my jotter and pen ready to learn from others’ sermons and I must tell you, theres always something new to learn. It is pride that would make you disobey instructions.
For instance, when the instruction in an exam says to answer four questions but because you feel you know it all, you decide to answer all the questions, this is pride. Instructions are part of the exam and disobedience to them has made students fail. James 4:6 says God resists the proud. Get as much knowledge as you ought to but never be proud.
Action Point
No matter how much you know, be humble.
Bible in One Year
