MEMORY VERSE: “ Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” – Matthew 5:48
MESSAGE: Studies have shown that children respond to the behavioral examples set and reflect on the emotions express by their parents. In other words, children do as their parents in everything.
Being calm in different situations and responding in love teaches our children to be calm, cool, collected in trying situations, responding in love. As parents, we teach our children in thoughts, word and deeds and we are accountable to God for what we teach and how we teach our children. Like Jesus, we must be Godly models to our children.
We should teach them about Jesus and then be like Jesus in our behavior, character and attitude (Matthew 5:48 ). God loves, forgives and has been there for us in our rebellion and repentance and final submission to His will.
So, we also can be there for our children, loving them no matter what and forgiving them when they repent and finally submit to our righteous will. Luke 1:6 says that Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous. They did not just talk it, they walked the talk and that is why they are called righteous in God’s eyes.
As parents, we should do the same so that our children can understand righteousness over time as they see us sacrifice our pride by obeying God and His word. The Bible says that with God all things are possible ( Luke 1:37 ). Even our disobedient, stubborn and rebellious child can become obedient, respectful and coolheaded.
Dear parent, do not ever give up on your child. No matter what the devil may be doing in your child’s life, keep praying and believing God for a positive change in his or her life. Declare war against the devil and his demons. Don’t focus on flesh and blood (a man or woman somewhere).

Put on the whole armour of God and go to God’s armoury, get the appropriate weapons and launch the offensive against the enemy and his cohorts. His agenda for you and your children must be frustrated. As you pray consistently and take the enemy to the court of heaven, God will release angels of fire to judge and destroy the adversaries.
Beloved, let your children learn spiritual warfare from you. Let them know that Christ made us overcomers by His finished works on the cross at Calvary. Be your children’s role model!

5 I refuse to end my journey in hell fire because of my children, in the name of Jesus.
6 Materials of hell fire in the lives of my children, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
7 My children and I are for signs and wonders, in the name of Jesus.
