MFM Devotional 17th September 2022 OUTLINE

The love of God for us is without measure. God’s love doesn’t exclude unbelievers. The Bible says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). God gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins. That is the extent of God’s love for man. The love of God is not inspired by our actions or faithfulness to Him. His love is constant to all men, believers and unbelievers alike and also unconditional.

Apostle Paul was a persecutor of the church. He hated the Way and tried all he could to stop believers but God’s mercy and love found him and he had these to say:

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35, 37-39).

In spite of all the trials and sufferings the devil threw at Apostle Paul, the love of God kept him. He depended on God’s love to carry him through every storm.

Beloved, what is your own storm? Is it delay in marriage? Is it poverty? Is it debt? Is it childlessness? Is it health problem? Is it attack against your ministry? Is it sorrow or heaviness? Is it lack of destiny helper? Is it pain or hardship? Is it unexplainable affliction? Is it an embargo slowing down your progress spiritually? Whatever the storm is, God is able to calm it when we trust His undying and unconditional love for us. The Bible says,

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).

God loves you so much that He will not leave you or forsake you, whether in the storm or out of the storm. Depend on God’s love and see yourself overcoming every storm, in Jesus’ name.
