OPENING PRAYER: As I read your word O Lord, grant me an insight and grace to do your will in Jesus name.

SCRIPTURE: Ruth 3:1‐18

Naomi shows concern for Ruth to re‐marry and have a good home of her own. How? Read v.1 and Chapter 1:8‐9. It is the desire of responsible parents to see their children marry suitable spouses and make stable homes, fulfilling God’s purpose for marriage. While cultural requirements for marriage may differ, how should chastity and holiness play a part in Christian relationships (vs.3, 4, 14)?

What lesson can you draw from the testimony Boaz gave concerning Ruth in v.10? Whether it is the first time one is getting married or it is re‐marriage, the focus of a young woman must not be on whether the man is rich or poor. Rather, what security could they find in a loving husband (v.1).

Marriage is a serious matter and must not be taken casually (v.18). Patience and seeking the face of the Lord are required. Parents and Marriage Counsellors should be prepared to help young people on mate selection. Proverbs 6: 20,23‐26 also outline some lessons parents are to rehearse especially to teenagers.

PRAY FOR:
☛ Strength for the pilgrims, staff and our SUCF brethren as they are mobilized for the work among children.
☛ Provision of more relevant materials to make the trainings and teachings more effective.
☛ More spiritual impact in the lives of these children as they encounter Christ.

PRAY AGAINST:
⚠ Making light of this call to catch these children early for Christ.
⚠ Failing to make available things that will lead to the salvation of the children.
