Parenthood is responsibility. Your teen is your responsibility. Learn to devote time to your teens and pattern their ways to the glory of God.

Our anchor text clearly made us understood that Mordecai took over the responsibility of bringing up Esther, his uncle’s daughter when she lost her parents. In other words, he became her parent and guardian. There was nothing said about his wife probably because the major factor for her destiny to be realized rested on Mordecai who took over her upbringing. And from the person of Esther, we can tell the upbringing he gave her.

Despite she was an orphan, he a worker at the king’s gate, that did not make her less in decency. And when the opportunity arose for virgins to contest for been selected as queen in the palace, he brought her for the competition.

Many teenagers must have disqualified themselves because of their loose nature. They also had parents and guardians responsible for them, but they lost it along the line or even from the beginning. That was how Eli must have lost it with his sons.

You can be the difference the world is waiting for to emulate in bringing up their teens in the ways of the Lord. You can achieve it if you are committed to it with the help of the Spirit.

Scripture speaks of Philip the evangelist which was one of the seven when Paul and his company abode with him in Caesarea that he had four daughters which were virgins and they prophesied. What report will people give when they behold your teens?

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me Lord to give my teens the attention they deserve.
