TOPIC: Fruit of The Spirit

TEXT: Galatians 5:16-26(NKJV)

Daily Fountain Devotional 31 July 2022 MESSAGE

Today’s passage urges believers to walk in the Spirit in order to bear the fruits of the Spirit. At redemption, Christians receive the nature of God to bear fruit of the Spirit. These seeds can only grow and mature through personal devotion and constant prayers with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Just as the physical fruits need time to grow, so the fruit of the Spirit will not ripe in our lives overnight. As a vine dresser needs to get rid of weeds to enjoy the sweet fruit he desires, so also must believers do away with the old nature of sin that can choke up the fruit of the Spirit.

Beloved in Christ, fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of being connected to Christ (v.22). Except you abide in Christ Jesus, you cannot bear these fruits. The kind of life a believer lives will determine the kind of fruit he produces (Matthew 7:16-20).

We have to be focused in our relationship with the Holy Spirit who is the Producer of the fruits. God desires that all believers should manifest these fruits in their lives. As a Child of God, do not disconnect yourself from the Source – the Holy Spirit. You can only manifest the fruit of the Spirit when you remain connected to the Lord.

PRAYER: Father, fill me with Your Spirit that I may live to please You in all things, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
