TOPIC: Let Your Life Count

BIBLE READING: Psalm 107-109

TEXT: “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the laws: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Gal. 2:16

Rhema For Living 21st July 2022 MESSAGE

Whether you know it or not, you are actually making a choice and writing your life’s story daily. But life is too short to let its course be determined by chance or fate. You must consciously determine to make your life count; to make it count in God’s sight; to make it count in God’s service; to make it count around you, and to make it count to all who come across you day to day.

Child of God, it must be pointed out though that a life that will truly count must be one with a definite purpose, clear-cut vision, selfless drive, and upright intentions, all of which can only be found in God who made it. This is why genuine salvation from sin and an intimate relationship with God is very crucial to making your life count. Those who are alienated from God because they are still bound in sin and worldly lusts are described as DEAD (Luke 9:60, 1 Timothy 5:6).

They are dead to the real purpose of God for their existence; dead to the leading of the Spirit of God; and dead to true righteousness and selfless goodness. So whatever “good deeds” they may seem to be doing to others, their lives may never count before God until they come to Him seeking grace for true righteousness and power for sincere uprightness (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:20-26).

Until one accepts the Lord Jesus as one’s Lord and Savior, one’s life can not count before God.

PRAYER:  My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive fresh empowerment to make my life count.
