Wisdom Keys for Excellence (5)

To bring this series “Wisdom Keys For Excellence” to an end, I have to emphasis this key: Run From Sin which was earlier implied in this statement: be ready not to do what hinders or is against excellence.
Child of God, sin hinders excellence. It is an enemy of it. To be involved in sin, iniquity or transgression is to be far from excellence. Remember in the curse of this teaching, we learnt that excellence is by the Spirit, that it is not a function of might. So if that be the case, the Holy Spirit who is holy cannot help a man who is involved in iniquity.
Sin disconnects one from the Spirit. That is why a sinner ought to first ask for forgiveness of sin in His presence before seeking for help. You can imagine Joshua the high priest standing before God and satan was at his right hand to resist him because he was putting on a filthy garment! (Zech. 3 :1 – 3).
That is how sin makes one put on garments less than excellence and one keeps struggling to attain excellence, which becomes impossible because the adversary has a legal ground to resist a sinner.
Sin and excellence are on opposite side. To enjoy the pleasure of sin for a moment is to postpone the attainment of excellence. In the kingdom of God, excellence is attained in righteousness. A sinner is a deceiver. He or she can put up a deceptive show, put closely, it is far from excellence.
A person of excellence has it as a lifestyle by reason of a walk at it based on guiding principles by the Spirit of God. No wonder Daniel stood out outstandingly different from all in several governments because he had an excellent spirit.
You can’t inhabit sin and attain excellence. Sin hinders the spirit of excellence.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to stay off sin, in Jesus name.
