Wisdom Keys for Excellence (3)

BIBLE READING:Â Judges 19-21
TEXT: “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by the spirit, saith the LORD of hosts”. Zechariah 4 :6.
Attaining excellence in all we do in life is not a function of hard work but of wise work which is engaging that abilities of the Spirit of God in us in attaining it. Without the help of the Spirit we struggle, exert energy, get not attaining excellence because the forces against our drive for excellence cannot defeat in the energy of the flesh.
But when we realize that it is God that works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil. 2 :13), and that we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us (2 Cor. 4 :7), we yield ourselves to the Holy Ghost given us to help us in all we need to do to attain excellence.
Hear me, excellence is a fight. It takes engaging the supernatural to empower your will and drive for excellence despite oppositions contending with you to attain it. It takes the Spirit of God to get inspirations and wisdom that will dumbfound human reasoning. Job 32 :8; says, “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the almighty giveth them understanding”.
In Daniel chapter 2, when king Nebuchadnezzar dreamt and needed interpretation of his dream from the magicians, astrologer, sorcerers and he Chaldeans, they told him “it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh” vs 11.
They understood it is not by might, that the spiritual controls the physical. And when Daniel stepped in, a man who understood the place of the supernatural, he pleaded for time and revealed the matter to his friends and they prayed to God desiring His mercies concerning the secret and God revealed the secret to Daniel in a night vision, vs 16 – 19.
You have what it takes with you to pursue excellence and attain it. You have the Holy Ghost.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, help me Lord to attain excellence.
